Au Violon Dingue

Our Earthenware are manufactured according to traditional methods' of the 17th and 18th century, time of the Great Faience Masters of Moustiers

Our pottery is made with the clay of Moustiers, slap modeling, throwing (hand turned pots on a potter's wheel) or manual casting.

After being retouched with the sponge to remove all the impurities, the pots are fired at 1020°C. The "biscuit" then obtained is then glazed by hand dipping. The decoration is fire glazed (raw glaze), entirely traced and painted by hand with natural colors based on oxides of manganese, gold, copper etc.

The 2nd Firing at 960°C will give the glaze all its shine and true color, and will be inalterable throughout all time. To own one of these pots is like sharing a piece of inheritance because each pot coming from our workshop can be regarded as a one of a kind , single specimen authenticated by our certificate. (enclosed with each sending)

White faience pots are signed: "faďence de Moustiers Oguy ŕ St Sauveur" Our yellow faience pots are inspired by the decoration from the Provence the (Montpellier, Marseilles, Moustiers) and signed: "Oguy" Both white and yellow faiences can be in direct contact with food and drinks, because they are in conformity with the legislation concerning the decree of  07 November 1985.
